Both of them announced on Wednesday in Munich, 90 percent of the company will be hold by ProSiebenSat.1, 10 percent remain at the company’s founder Jochen Schweizer. With ballooning, climbing courses and other leisure activities in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, Jochen Schweizer earns almost 10 million euros in earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization annually. The acquisition is based on an enterprise value of 108 million euros.
The television group now makes a quarter of its turnover with online shops and Internet portals such as Parship and Verivox, for which it makes a strong advertising in his channels. ProSiebenSat.1 has just sold its online travel portal Etraveli to a financial investor for almost 500 million euros - twice as much as the company had paid for it two years earlier.
