Skilled labor shortage hinders growth

According to a recently published Handelsblatt article, missing workers are increasingly having a negative impact on mid-sized companies. As a result, companies are losing revenue and shifting IT projects.

The article is based on a study commissioned by DZ Bank and conducted by GfK in which more than 800 companies participated. According to this study, more than one third of companies want to increase their investments over the next three years. However, a lack of qualified employees is an investment barrier for the majority of companies. In addition, vacant positions are also at the expense of the core workforce. However, the companies do not want to accept this situation and continue to expand their recruitment and training activities in the future.

The shortage of skilled workers can also be crucial for successful succession planning. From the experience of biz4.sale, a company that is not prepared for the future can be difficult to sell. For this reason, it is advisable for every entrepreneur to face the challenges of the future at an early stage and to bind suitable specialists to the company.
